What’s so magic about Disneyland?

It’s no secret that Disneyland is one of Earth’s most wonderful, dream-like places, but what is it that makes Disneyland so magical?

Most theme parks are built around trying to edge that adrenaline rush, pushing you closer and closer to your limit with each twist and drop, however Disneyland is made for fantastical enjoyment. Each ride is made almost as if it tells a story, much like the films, and to take you away from the real world for a moment or two.

Disneyland pays attention to detail. Your usual funfair is full of steel rods, stairs, fences, and litter. Disneyland is colourful, full of beautiful sights and artworks, and there’s no sight of any back entrance stairways. Everywhere you look, it’s as if you’re in one of the films. Disneyland is the dictionary definition of perfect.

The park is built to play on every single one of your senses, not just a 3D-themed ride here and there. It’s pleasing to the eye, a visual feast, from storytelling rides to the fireworks at night.

It has a huge advantage of being able to use music all kids (and grown ups alike!) have grown up with from each film. Every attraction within the park is filled with a song you’re bound to know.

The touch effect on many rides includes being splashed on Splash Mountain, and going on the Teacups may make your stomachs leave you, but it’s not just that. They even give you the presence of wind rushing past you on many rides, including Indiana Jones.

Each ride has it’s own smell, and each area has distinct ‘tastes’. The Haunted Mountain smells old, cold and musty, and there’s themed restaurants around the parks to leave your taste buds tingling.

Disneyland is for everyone, it’s aimed at family, so there’s something for the kids and then there’s another thing for the adults. It’s a great place whether you’re 8 or 80! Walt Disney said himself, that “Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world.” so go forth and imagine!
